Scrambling and Rock Climbing UK
We can offer rock climbing instruction and guiding all over the UK. However we are based in the Lake District so this is where we run many of our rock courses.
Private guiding and instructional rates are per instructor (maximum ratio is 1:2) and for Spring & Summer our rate is £140 per day. We will spend time finding out exactly what we can help you with in order to tailor make your experience.

| We can help you learn the specific ropework skills for venturing onto steeper and more exposed ground to add an extra dimension to your hill walking. | |

| Introduction to Rock Climbing | |
| This is aimed at complete beginners keen to learn all the essential skills to progress safely and with confidence. You will be introduced to basic ropework and safe belaying methods. You will also be shown various climbing techniques, as well as abseiling, equipment selection and use of guidebooks, whilst packing in as many routes as possible. | |

| Rock Progression | |
| This course will be very much tailored to your experience and aspirations. We will be on multi-pitch routes throughout and typically we’ll look at improving ropework, including double rope techniques, movement coaching and basic problem solving. In preparation for leading we will show you how to build belays and place runners as well as giving you tips to get your head in gear! | |

Scottish Winter Mountaineering
It’s often said that if you can cope with winter mountaineering in Scotland you’ll take everything else in your stride. We definitely believe that Scottish winter mountaineering provides invaluable training for those wishing to take things further, whether that means to the Alps or beyond. Starting with our courses aimed at hill walkers seeking new skills for winter we offer a progression through to 1:1 guiding and coaching.
We offer private guiding and instructiona at a maximum ratio of 1:2 and our winter rate is set at £160 per day.

| These weekend courses offer the perfect introduction to winter mountaineering. In 2 days we’ll aim to cover all the essential skills including use of ice-axe and crampons, avalanche awareness, navigation and safety on steeper terrain. | |

| Introduction to Winter Mountaineering | |
| This course starts off by looking at essential winter hill walking skills. The course will cover all the essential skills and introduce ropework and belaying techniques to enable you to tackle increasingly steeper terrain. By the end of the course we hope to introduce climbing with 2 tools on routes of up to grade II/III. | |

| Snow ‘n’ Ice - Instruction and Guiding | |
| We offer a tailor-made instruction and guiding service to winter mountaineers keen to progress their winter climbing. We can assess your existing level, brush up any areas of weakness, help you refine your climbing technique as well as teaching you new skills. Alternatively, you may just want someone else to take the “sharp end” for the route you have in mind! | |
